Murugi Thande is an Emmy-nominated producer, photographer, and editor currently based in Washington, D.C. She holds a bachelor’s degree from American University, with a major in Film and Media Arts and a minor in French.
She has experience working on tv shows, promos, indie films, and photo projects for National Geographic, NBC, and PBS. Her work has been featured in Conde Nast, Deadline, and The Los Angeles Times.
Her passion for documentary and human-interest photography has led her around the world, exploring different cultures and searching for stories. Her work is currently exhibiting at the Newseum, as part of a four-year-long exhibit.
